Jollibee opens first mobile kitchen in Ontario, Canada

Jollibee and DoorDash launch their first moveable cloud kitchen in the town of Hamilton, serving up Jollibee’s Crispy Chicken, Spaghetti, and Peach Mango Pie

Jollibee has teamed up with logistics and delivery platform DoorDash to open their first mobile kitchen in the town of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada.

The homegrown fast-food chain launched their first moveable cloud kitchen in Hamilton in September, servicing pick-up and DoorDash delivery orders for customers in Downtown Hamilton, Stoney Creek, McMaster University, and Hampton Heights. After six months, the mobile ghost kitchen will relocate to another North American town.

Jollibee’s mobile kitchen is open at the southwest corner of the CF Lime Ridge Mall from 10 am to 9 pm daily. The limited menu includes global Jollibee favorites, such as Jolly Crispy Chicken in original and spicy flavors, Jolly Spaghetti, and Peach Mango Pie.

On DoorDash’s food delivery platform, Jollibee’s Crispy Chicken was among the top 10 most ordered food items in 2020, while the Peach Mango Pie was among the top 20.

Jollibee and DoorDash’s 15-meter traveling food truck was formerly a flatbed trailer, customized to become a fully-working commissary kitchen with its own deep fryers, storage, and refrigeration space. The new concept allows Jollibee to expand its presence quicker and easier, sans the traditional overhead costs incurred by opening a brick-and-mortar store.

Customers can place their pick-up or delivery orders exclusively through DoorDash’s and Jollibee’s websites and mobile apps.
